Linear lighting
Continuous light in coves, furniture or walls. Check profiles, diffusers, power supplies and run lengths.
LED lamps
For compatible fittings: check base, voltage, dimensions, heat dissipation and control system.
Technical concepts
- Colour temperature
- The tone of white light, expressed in kelvin: lower values appear warmer and higher values cooler.
- Tunable white / RGBW
- Tunable white changes colour temperature; RGBW combines red, green, blue and white. Compatible luminaires and drivers are required.
- DALI / DALI-2
- A digital lighting control protocol. DALI-2 includes interoperability certification; compatibility must be checked.
- Phase-cut dimming
- Modifies the supply waveform. Leading-edge or trailing-edge control must match the driver and load characteristics.
- 0–10 V / PWM
- 0–10 V uses an analogue control signal; PWM varies the duty cycle of pulses. They are not interchangeable interfaces.
